Wichita, KS (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Matt Davidson fired an eight-under 63 Thursday
to take a one-stroke lead after one round of the Wichita Open.
Davidson has made just five starts this year with a tie for seventh his best
finish. He has never won on the Nationwide Tour.
Scott Gutschewski, who is 19th on the Nationwide Tour money list, posted a
seven-under 64 in round one. He was joined in second place by Steven Bowditch,
Dan Buchner and Roberto Castro.
Davidson played the front nine on the North Course at Crestview Country Club
first on Thursday. He posted birdies on the third and sixth. He made the turn
at minus-four after back-to-back birdies from the eighth.
Around the turn, Davidson parred the first four holes before flying up the
leaderboard.
Davidson started a birdie run at the par-five 14th. He came right back with a
birdie on the 15th and made it three in a row as he birdied No. 16. After a
par on 17, Davidson birdied the last to lead by one after the opening round.
"I'm not overly long off the tee and this course is not wide open, so any
course that rewards accuracy over length is good for me," admitted Davidson,
who will sleep on the lead for the first time in his tour career. "Obviously
it was a good round. I drove the ball really well today."
Gutschewski, a two-time winner on the Nationwide Tour, was on 59 watch after
nine holes, but quickly cooled off.
He started with birdies on 11 and 12. Gutschewski bogeyed the 13th, but
responded with three consecutive birdies from the 14th to get to minus-four.
Gutschewski made eagle on the 18th to post a six-under 30 on his opening nine.
On the front side, he moved to seven-under with a birdie at the second.
However, Gutschewski parred his final seven holes to share second place.
"It was a good round. A good start," said Gutschewski, who is playing with a
heavy heart after the death of his grandmother on Tuesday.
Bowditch and Castro both carded bogey-free rounds that included seven birdies.
Castro had six birdies in his first 10 holes, but one over the last eight.
Buchner played the back nine first and birdied six of those nine holes and
seven of his first 10 overall. After getting to minus-eight with a birdie on
the seventh, Buchner bogeyed the ninth, his last, to share second.
Jhonattan Vegas is one of four players tied for sixth at minus-six. He was the
18-, 36- and 54-hole leader here last year before ending in a share of fourth
place.
NOTES: Last week's winner Martin Piller, carded a four-under 67 and is tied
for 21st...Tommy Gainey, who is No. 2 on the tour's money list is tied for
36th at minus-three, one stroke behind Nos. 3, 4 and 6 -- Piller, Chris Kirk
and Bobby Gates...Kevin Chappell, who is fifth on the money list, is tied for
10th at five-under 66.

NFL ODDSTop Football Betting Free Agents to Change Teams
NFL Betting
It’s time to see how the biggest NFL free agent signings will perform for their news teams. Some will work out and could be the difference that makes a difference in the win column.
We look at the best off-season signings and if they should influence your NFL betting this season. Julius Peppers – Peppers was the biggest prize available on the 2010 NFL free agent market and the Chicago Bears opened the bank to bring his talents to the south side.
Peppers is explosive, he can get around blockers and cause quarterbacks to lose their minds. We all remember the classic Peppers game last year against the Vikings where he hounded Brett Favre into his worst game of the season. Peppers joining the Bears could be the reason Favre retired for good Tuesday morning. In addition to Peppers, the Bears added Chester Taylor to back up Matt Forte, Forte didn’t have the same intensity in 2009 compared to 2008 and bringing in Taylor will challenge Forte to bring it every game or he’ll risk losing carries to Taylor.
Betting on the Bears is a good option this season because of Julius Peppers and to a lesser extent Taylor. Antonio Bryant and Terrell Owens – The Cincinnati Bengals signed two former number one wide receivers to line up with Chad Ocho Cinco. Antonio Bryant had a huge season in 2008 catching 83 passes for over 1200 yards but regressed last season. Playing for the Tampa Bay Bucs last season was a large part of the regression, everyone was bad in TB last season.
Bryant should have a bounce back season if he can win the number two spot from Terrell Owens. If Bryant wins the number 2 WR spot, it will open up a completely new set of problems for the Bengals. If Owens is forced to the bench in favor of Bryant, his attitude will create trouble for Carson Palmer and head coach Marv Lewis. If Owens is the number two receiver, it means Bryant can’t live up to his past numbers and the Bengals are still limited in the passing game. NFL bettors should be wary of laying their money down on what could potentially be the biggest gong show in the league in 2010. 2010 football betting lines for this can be found at this top online sportsbook. Karlos Danby – The Miami Dolphins have a great running back tandem in Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown, a good young QB in Chad Henne and now the Bill Parcells regime is building a solid defense.

Karlos Danby – The Miami Dolphins have a great running back tandem in Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown, a good young QB in Chad Henne and now the Bill Parcells regime is building a solid defense. They signed away the Arizona Cardinals top linebacker Karlos Danby. In the past two seasons, Danby has totaled 228 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles. The Dolphins are the forgotten team of the AFC East with the second longest odds to win the division but with the addition of Karlos Danby and a trade for WR Brandon Marshall makes the Miami Dolphins legitimate contenders in the AFC East and in the NFL’s Eastern Conference.
The Dolphins will make NFL wagering fans a lot of money this season, get in early and enjoy the cash. NFL Wagering

LaDainian Tomlinson Favorite to be 2007 NFL MVP
With the first NFL preseason game less than two weeks away, it is time to start thinking about football once again at MySportsbook.com. Reigning NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson is currently the 5-1 co-favorite to win the award again alongside Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning.
This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone after his all out assault on the record books last season. For those suffering from amnesia or were under a rock last football season, all L.T. did last season was set the NFL record for rushing touchdowns (28), total touchdowns (31) and total points scored (186) to go along with his 1815 rushing yards and 508 receiving yards. At 6-1, Tom Brady is next in line which isn’t surprising considering all of the firepower the Pats added over the off-season. With the addition of Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Wes Welker; it would be quite difficult for Brady’s numbers not to improve from last years 3529 yards and 24 touchdowns. There appears to be some decent value in Drew Bees at 10-1 considering he probably would have won the award last year if it wasn’t for L.T.’s record breaking season.
There is no reason to think the Saints will come back to earth this season and playing in a weak NFC, they should have as good a shot as any to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. At 15-1, Donovan McNabb could also be worth a look. Remember, many felt he was the MVP of the first half of the season before going down with a season ending injury. Reportedly, he is in great shape and well ahead of schedule to return to form. Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.
