Doan then swooped in at 9:24 and was seemingly robbed by Mason, but the goaltender's momentum carried him into the net with the puck tucked under his arm. The Coyotes were awarded the 4-0 lead after a video review. Nash broke a nine-game goalless drought by scoring on the power play from in front off a pass from Brassard with 8:30 remaining. The Blue Jackets trimmed the deficit with 3:18 left on a wraparound by Brassard, and they pulled Mason for the extra attacker with just over a minute left. Hanzal scored into an empty net, shorthanded, with 22 seconds left.
